General Volunteer (Tees Valley Festivals)

Tees Valley Festivals is a network of over 20 award-winning international festivals, all of which rely on their fabulous volunteers to deliver these special events to their communities.

The role may encompass some or all of the following: Working with artists and performers, assisting workshop facilitators, dressing and decorating venues, setting up and taking down of the event.
meeting and greeting visitors and making them feel welcome, assisting on information points, ticketing and monitoring attendance, selling merchandise,

You'll learn about event management, develop great customer service skills, discover new performers and artists and be at the heart of the Festival. You can attend events free of charge when off duty. You'll be helping others have a great time and make the festival a success. You'll gain confidence, learn about different career opportunities, connect with and support your community. And you'll enhance your CV.

Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service and Health & Safety. There will be opportunities for further training in Inclusivity & Accessibility, Working with Children, Digital Capture, Content Creation and Social Media, and Sound and Technical Production.

You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
