**Thursday 22nd, Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August 2024, with shifts available morning, afternoon and evening. **

Between the Tides is a back once again - join us at the free festival of adventure and exploration, imagination and messiness for children, young people and their families!

This year, we are once again welcoming a Luminarium to the festival, located at Kirkleatham Museum. A luminarium is a giant inflatable space filled with colour, light and majesty!

Volunteers like you are at the heart of everything we do. Your skills, experience and time help us achieve our wildest dreams.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the front-of-house team working on the spectacular outdoor exhibition of a Luminarium by Architects of Air.

  • Helping audiences access the exhibition in a safe and comfortable manner.

What skills are we looking for?

  • A friendly manner.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • Enthusiasm and a smile.
  • Responsibility and reliability.
  • People who enjoy being around young children and families.
  • An interest in the arts, music, story telling and outdoor performance.

What's in it for you?

You'll have fun, meet new people and be part of a team! You'll learn about event management. You'll develop great customer service skills. You'll discover new performers and artists and be at the heart of the Festival. You'll be helping others have a great time and making the festival a success. You'll gain confidence, learn about different career opportunities, connect with and support your community. And you'll enhance your CV.

We can pay your travel expenses, and you'll receive a meal or a meal voucher when you volunteer for a full day or evening shift.

Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service, Health & Safety, Dealing with Difference and Carbon Literacy. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
