Available from 5 October 2023 to 9 October 2023
Hartlepool Headland, TS24 0JB, Thursday 5th and Monday 9th October
This fabulous festival combines the best of traditional music with dance, performance, puppetry and cabaret.
Whether you’ve got experience of helping out at events, have specialist skills you’d like to put into practice, or are just keen to be a part of things, we’ve got something for you to do!
This year we have a brilliant music line up as well as folk horror themed events throughout the weekend, as we pay tribute to the most gloriously twisted interpretations of our traditions.
In exchange for 10 hours work over the weekend, you'll get a full festival ticket.
What you'll be doing: Setting up the Festival on the Thursday. Taking down the Festival on the Monday morning. Setting up stages, putting out chairs, moving tables. Clearing venues at the end of events, cleaning, tidying, moving furniture. Helping venue managers and stewards, performers and technical staff as required. Assiting at the campsite or outdoor stage area with parking and directing vehicles.
Why You'll Love It: You'll get to meet people and be part of a team. You'll be attending free events, workshops and performances around your shifts. You'll be given a free festival ticket including, if desired, a camping or caravan pitch. You'll hear the music in the events you work on, and usually see at least some of the show. You can join in the festival fun. You'll be helping others have a great time and making the festival a success.
You'll gain confidence and experience through working with the public in this customer facing role. You'll learn about event management. You'll discover new performers and genres of music. You'll have a fantastic time!
What We're Looking For: People who are friendly and welcoming, polite and helpful, punctual and reliable. People with good communication skills. People who are able to follow policies and procedures. Physical fitness for moving furniture is useful, but not essential.
