Families and friends, come out and play with the stars in Stewart Park, Middlesbrough after dark this Winter!
Stellar Projects' family friendly, interactive light art trail of beautiful art works, live music, performance, storytelling and magical moments returns.
Nightfall stargazers near & far, you’re invited to join us on an adventure as magical as a shooting star. Get ready for a galaxy playground descending from the Middlesbrough night sky, full of hopeful stars bursting to play, dance & fly.
What will you be doing?
This is a fun, dynamic role, working with the event zone managers to support artists, performers and visitors.

Assisting the event zone managers to communicate information about the event, workshops and artworks to visitors.

Responding to the needs of artists and performers and assisting them before and during shows.

Encouraging visitors to interact with the artwork or performance where relevant.

Being on hand during the event to move between locations as and where required.

Stewart Park is a large site and the event can involve a lot of walking. If you have limited mobility please let us know and we can make sure you are placed accordingly.

Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service and Health & Safety. There will be opportunities for further training in Inclusivity & Accessibility, Working with Children, Digital Capture, Content Creation and Social Media, and Sound and Technical Production. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
