Hullabaloo in the Park is a fabulous, fun, outdoor family festival full of live children’s theatre, messy play, storytelling, trails and much more – perfect for ages 0-10 and their families!

Volunteers like you are at the heart of everything we do. Your skills, experience and time help us achieve our aims.

What will you be doing?

  • Welcoming audiences into the park.
  • Checking tickets.
  • Directing audiences around the Park.
  • Assisting with the set up and take down of shows and activities and supporting artists in their delivery.
  • Assisting workshop facilitators and supporting participants with activities.
  • Supporting audiences with additional access requirements.
  • Promoting the Theatre Hullabaloo and the festival programme.

What skills are we looking for?

  • You have a current DBS (we can help with this if need be - it can take several months to organise, so sign up soon if you require this support).
  • You enjoy being around small children and families.
  • You are enthusiastic, patient and kind and love to see people smile!
  • You are responsible and reliable.
  • You are willing to make new friends and try new things.
  • You have a helpful, can-do attitude.
  • You enjoy theatre, performance and arts and crafts.

Once you've signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service and Health & Safety. There are many other optional free workshops that you'll be eligible to take part in, such as Digital Capture for Social Media, Workshop in Sound, and Confidence Building. We will also be holding Art and Creative Practice courses throughout the Tees Valley that we would love you to be part of. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
