Festival - 5pm-10pm Friday 8th March, Saturday 9th March 2024
Saltburn Valley Gardens will be transformed into a magical Valley of Light with a trail of light artworks and installations created by Stellar Creates and local artists. There will also be storytelling, performances and drop-in craft activities.
Without our volunteers, this event wouldn’t be possible. We do hope you'll join us at this wonderful family festival!
What will you be doing?
- Helping set up and take down the festival, stringing fairy lights, installing the lantern village, putting up signs.
- Welcoming visitors, assisting on information points, guiding visitors around site.
- Assisting artists with workshops, facepainting and other activities.
What skills are we looking for?
- Enthusiasm and a smile.
- A can-do attitude.
- Responsibility and reliability.
- Set-up is an active role, but can be carried out by anyone who can walk around the gardens.
- The site is accessible for wheelchair users and buggies. If you have any questions about access, please ask.

Once you've signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service and Health & Safety. There will be opportunities for further training in Inclusivity & Accessibility, Working with Children, Digital Capture, Content Creation and Social Media, and Sound and Technical Production. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
