Between the Tides is a fabulous free festival of adventure and exploration, imagination and play, for children, young people and their families.

Taking place across Redcar Town Centre, you’ll encounter live theatre, giant puppets, music, dance, art and craft workshops and much much more. Watch as Redcar explodes into a fantastic spectacle where fairy tales become reality and your dreams take shape right here on our streets!

Volunteers like you are at the heart of everything we do. Your skills, experience and time help us achieve our wildest dreams.

What will you be doing?

You might:

  • be a Festival Ambassador, communicating the programme to visitors and directing them to performances, workshops and events.
  • work with zone managers to support artists and performers.
  • assist artists with delivering their workshops.
  • support visitors with any access needs.
  • help site dress the town centre - 8am - 10am

We can pay your travel expenses, and you'll receive a meal or a meal voucher when you volunteer for a full day or evening shift.

Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service and Health & Safety. There will be opportunities for further training in Inclusivity & Accessibility, Working with Children, Digital Capture, Content Creation and Social Media, and Sound and Technical Production. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.

Age 16+
