Saltburn Food Festival brings a great buzz and joy to the town with around 120 stalls offering wonderful food, drinks and craft, featuring hot and cold food from around the world and offering you the chance to learn from celebrity chefs in the cookery theatre.
Without our volunteers, this event wouldn’t be possible. We do hope you enjoy your time with us at the festival!
What will you be doing?
- Helping set up and take down the festival, arranging street furniture, putting up decorations and signage, clearing streets at the end of the day. While this is an active role, all other roles can accomodate various levels of mobility.
- Meeting and greeting visitors, communicating site information, guiding visitors around site, assisting with queue management.
- Supporting celebrity chefs in the cooking theatre, fetching supplies and doing odd jobs around the kitchen.
- Assisting with trader get-in and supporting traders throughout the day.
- Assisting with road closures and traffic management.
- There will be a site walk through the week before the event for all volunteers interested in supporting traders and helping with traffic management.

We can pay your travel expenses, and you'll receive a meal or a meal voucher when you volunteer for a full day or evening shift.
Once you've signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service and Health & Safety. There will be opportunities for further training in Inclusivity & Accessibility, Working with Children, Digital Capture, Content Creation and Social Media, and Sound and Technical Production. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
Age 16+
