Middlesbrough Mela is one of the biggest and most spectacular multi-cultural festivals in the North-East and offers a fabulous mix of music, food, fashion and fun over two days!
At this year's Middlesbrough Mela, TeesDance are producing a large-scale mass dance spectacular to end the festival.
Volunteers like you are at the heart of everything we do. Your skills, experience and time help us achieve our wildest dreams.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting the event delivery team working on the spectacular mass dance finale called HOME.
- Helping manage community participants.
- Sign-posting and trouble-shooting.

- An interest in the arts, music, story telling and outdoor performance.

You can claim back your travel expenses (within Teesside) and we will provide food or a food voucher for each shift you work.

Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service, Health & Safety, Inclusivity & Accessibility and Carbon Literacy. You can get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. You'll also be able to take part in and earn badges with the RSAs exciting Badge Nation Programme.
