Tread Softly Film Festival
Festival of Thrift is hosting an exciting new film festival this Spring. If you are interested in film and cinema, the environment and nature, and supporting your community, then please help us to make this event happen.
We will be showing 5 films across 3 days, themed around our relationship to Nature, with workshops and talks connecting the films.
Location:
Yarm Wellness Centre, High Church Wynd, TS15 9BQ
Dates and Times:
Friday 28th February 3pm - 8pm
Saturday March 1st 10am - 3pm and 3pm - 8pm
Sunday March 2nd 10am - 3pm and 3pm - 8pm
There will also be opportunities to shape future film screenings and get involved in other projects at Festival of Thrift.
What will you be doing?
- Welcoming attendees to Tread Softly Film Festival 2025
- Chatting to audiences about our exciting programme of screenings, talks and workshops
- Assisting audiences with any access requirements
- Helping to set up the event and supporting the smooth running of the festival

Once you've signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you'll receive training in Customer Service, Health & Safety, Inclusivity & Accessibility and Carbon Literacy. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
